Tim Horton is an amazing man. To be admired as much for his successful marriage and raising 4 boys than anything else. He speaks a simple wisdom born of experience.
The fact that he’s been a press secretary to U.S. Senators, an owner of radio stations, taught broadcasting and sales, is just an extra.
He is the voice of StopandThink.Radio, has arranged for national syndication, given birth to the idea of a STOP AND THINK movement, and has worked for years to set a practical example of spirituality and grace.
By starting the Grace House. Providing food, clothing, and aid to the least of these. The homeless, the addicted, the dispossessed. Our hope is to advance the Grace House concept around the country, and let it be a forum for people to meet to help each other through his idea of Stop and Think Step Meetings. Giving Americans a safe haven to meet and get real, ask for help, and learn from others. A standard to establish that anyone recovering from anything can support and unite around.
His partner, me, is a work in progress. I am no poster boy for recovery. Only for the need of it. Because I am in recovery from everything – including my own name.
My substance abuse battles have kept me on the sideline, for the most part, throughout my life. Tim believes it’s time for me to come forward, speak up, and let America know what I have discovered through the bitter pain, loss and tragedy I’ve undergone. Self inflicted or otherwise.
Maybe you are recovering from a dysfunctional home, feelings of inferiority, resentments, and bad choices. We can relate. I’m a recovering lawyer, recovering Amway distributor, recovering Catholic, and a few things more besides.
I’m here to share the insights gained through thousands of meetings, hundreds of clients, and varied experiences that prompt us to want to make our slogan “We can’t make this #*%$ up!!”
